Embodied Storytelling and Community Healing with Playback Theatre
Friday, April 16, 2021 1 to 3 p.m. ET Tell your stories of the Coronavirus pandemic as we introduce Playback Theatre, a form of improvisational storytelling that has become a worldwide movement, as an astonishing vehicle for individual and community healing, and community building. This training, especially designed for helping professionals including psychotherapists, physicians, nurses, educators and others, will demonstrate how stories can be honored and enacted within a group in a way that is often experienced as therapeutic by participants. Tools Beyond Talk: Embodied Storytelling as Community-Based Healing
Friday, April 30, 2021 1 to 4 p.m. ET Story telling is healing. Story telling creates communities and bonding through hearing, listening, seeing and sharing. Yet we can learn to unpack the gifts of experiential story telling and improvisational theater to use in a variety of therapeutic settings, including psychotherapy, coaching and teaching. This three-hour online training workshop introduces simple embodied forms of improvisational expression and deep listening based on the method of Playback Theatre, a method of honoring stories in a group and often experienced as therapeutic by participants. Ancestor Stories: An Experience in Family Constellations
Friday, April 30, 2021 10 a.m. to noon ET Learn a basic component about Family Constellations, the new experiential family systems process developed and synthesized by Bert Hellinger, that identifies and heals ancestral trauma while experiencing an actual session with a class volunteer. East Meets West: Combining 5 Elements with Family Constellations for Health
May 15, 2021 Noon to 3 p.m. ET Family Constellations and the Chinese philosophy of Five Elements combine to create an inclusive systemic approach that looks at burdens that may have their roots in the family – as well as other issues that we carry related to our health, work, friends, loved ones, addictions and to nature. He has found this approach can be particularly helpful for acute health problems, sleeping disorders, and lack of energy.
