Clinical supervision:
What you may expect

linical supervision is the term used to describe the formal process of professional support for people working with other people.  The best supervision encourages self-assessment and discussion and exploration of professional skills and goals. It involves tracking the learning process and the evolution of professional and personal development.

You will find supervision with Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP,  full of laughter and fun -- and serious with a focus on careful and responsible learning. At times, supervisees may be invited to present their skills for the education of their peers.

Our focus is psychodrama, sociometry, group psychotherapy and other experiential psychotherapies, which may involve Family and Systemic Constellations, sand tray, art making, simple energetic principles and similar topics.

In addition to discussion during our supervision groups, you may expect supervision in action, as an important way to experience the method yourself.
You may opt for 1-1 supervision or group supervision, or combination as needed.

Currently all supervision sessions are offered online due to the pandemic.
  • One-to-one supervision
  • Group supervision
  • Observation of group leadership in real time
  • Preparation for psychodrama on-site and/or written exams by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy.
Supervision hours are provided for LCSW licensure in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin (please contact your board for other states) and may be used towards certification with the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy and the International Society of Experiential Professionals.
