Exploring Professional Ethics and Boundaries in Action
Professional training with CE credits Our professional ethical codes of conduct help us preserve boundaries within our work, as well as our professional values. They give us a sense of competence and safety. They support our clients in feeling safe and respected and give our respective professional fields credibility and professionalism.
In this training workshop, instructed by Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, action methods help the usual “dry” topic of ethics come alive as we look at how our values guide the everyday aspects of our professional lives. During interactive training workshop, we will explore our relationship with basic ethical principles for mental health professionals and others. There will be opportunities to bring case studies forward. This program includes the three hours of ethics programming that is required for social workers and others for recertification or re-licensure and fulfills the fulfills the requirement for three hours of continuing education credits for social workers, licensed counselors and marriage and family counselors. In this interactive training workshop, you will learn:
Tuition The fee for this training workshop is $45 if registered by Oct. 2, 2020 and $55 after. The tuition includes the training day; three CE credits for social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors and psychologists; psychodrama credit hours toward psychodrama certification; handouts; and healthy snacks. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance to use in their respective organizations. This training day is suitable for: Mental health professionals, marriage and family therapists, licensed counselors, creative arts therapists, addiction counselors, physicians and other medical professionals, personal and wellness coaches, educators, clergy, community and social activists, alternative health practitioners and others interested in experiential methods. Participants will have the option to address personal issues in a supportive and confidential setting, as well as bring past or present client cases forward for supervision.
