Super Vision Boards: Creating the Future in Art and Action
Professional training with CE credits Everyone from Oprah to Ellen says vision boards have contributed to their success.
A vision board is typically a poster board on which you paste images, pictures and words that represent what you want to attract into your life. It is based on the idea that what you focus on becomes your reality. Many people make vision boards on their own, and in this training workshop, you will learn how to upgrade the task from craft making to a highly therapeutic experience. In this training workshop, Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, will lead a gentle process to generate a vision of your future while teaching you the basics of how you can replicate and adapt this process for various client groups. As a participant, you may choose to focus on personal, family, health or business goals for this activity In fact, the process works best when you decide on your specific focus – a romantic partner, your dream home, a new career, vibrant health, inner peace, abundant prosperity, improved relationships – whatever you are ready to welcome into your life, even if you don’t know how exactly how it will happen. We will use journaling, simple meditation practice and art-making for this workshop, and you will leave with a powerful tool that you can use for many months to train your mind to meet your heart’s desire -- and share with your clients. There will be ample time for questions, discussion and case consultation, as well as the option to address personal issues in a confidential atmosphere. Tuition The fee for this training workshop is $85 if registered by July 15 and $105 after. The tuition includes the training day; CE credits for social workers, marriage and family therapists and licensed professional counselors; psychodrama credit hours toward psychodrama certification; handouts; and healthy snacks. All materials will be included. If you are able, please bring a small photo of yourself – one in which you look happy – to include in the making of your vision board. This training day is suitable for: Mental health professionals, marriage and family therapists, creative arts therapists, addiction counselors, physicians and other medical professionals, personal and executive coaches, educators, clergy, youth leaders, community and social activists, alternative health practitioners and others interested in experiential methods. Participants will have the option to address personal issues in a supportive and confidential setting, as well as bring past or present client cases forward for supervision. Liberty Place is located at 313 W. Liberty St, Lancaster, Pa. , with convenient free parking across the street. The building is located six blocks from the Lancaster Amtrak station and is accessible from Routes 501, 272, 72, 30, 222 and 283. You will be provided with the room number of the gathering when you register.
