Pandemic Stories: Acknowledging and Healing Collective TraumaKaren Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, will offer Pandemic Stories: Acknowledging and Healing Collective Trauma for the Delaware Valley Psychodrama Collective from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
Although pandemic deaths have waned in the United States, we can recognize a good number of still-unsettled feelings to our homes and hearts. We are also reminded that people are still at risk with becoming infected by the COVID-19 virus and others are suffering the longer-term impact of lingering physical illness and particularly collective trauma. This online workshop explores how we as helpers and healers can support health and recovery from this collective trauma mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and energetically. Tuition is $20 for members of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama; $30 for non-members; $15 for those who do not want CE hours; $5 for full-time college and university students; and $5 for first-time attendees. Creative Marketing For Professionals in Psychodrama & the Creative ArtsCreative Marketing for Your Practice or Training Program for Psychodramatists, Creative Arts Therapists and Others will be offered to psychodrama certification candidates, psychodramatists at all level of practice and graduate students from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET at a date to be determined (postponed from Oct. 16).
This three-hour online workshop will explore common marketing struggles and pitfalls though interactive structures, teaching and discussion in large and small groups. Facilitators for this training are Karen Carnabucci, MSS, LCSW, TEP, and Rebecca Walters, M.S., LMHC, LCAT, TEP, both longtime board-certified trainers in psychodrama sociometry and group psychotherapy, who have much practical advice and hard-won wisdom about marketing and outreach to share with graduate students and helping and teaching professionals at every level of practice. The first half of the workshop will focus on experiential activities about marketing, particularly related to the needs of the group. The second half will build on that knowledge, with Karen leading the breakout group on marketing a psychotherapy practice and Rebecca leading the breakout group on marketing a training institute. This program is suitable for graduate and psychodrama institute students, candidates for all levels of psychodrama credentials, psychodramatists at all levels of experience, and creative arts therapists and coaches who use the creative arts and other experiential activities. Facilitated by Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, we use psychodrama, meditation, sharing and other experiential activities as part of the process to inspire writers of any level of experience, diffuse writers’ blocks and enhance confidence. Ancestor Stories: An Experience In Family ConstellationsFamily Constellations is the term for method of working with the family system as developed by Bert Hellinger, a family therapist in Germany.
In this series of monthly online training workshops from 10 a.m. to noon ET, Karen will offer a self-experience for participants who are interested in the method and how it may be presented in individual or group sessions. She will discuss how Family Constellations explore through experiential interaction and mindfulness how an unresolved family trauma or other instance of family or collective pain is carried through the generations. This program is not designed to give people all the tools and skills they would need to present a Family Constellations session to a client. Rather it will allow you to experience components of the method to understand it more fully and begin to explore how you can use pieces of the method to integrate into your work if you wish.
