The ABCs of social media for psychodramatists and experiential therapists

Social media relates to an app, program or service that is online and allows you to communicate to other people electronically and other people to communicate to you electronically.

The key is social interaction – much like the social networking of sociometry that we learn when we study the basics of the action method known as psychodrama.

Ideally, social media are about building and nourishing relationships – just as you would do in “real” life – not  simply using social media  as a bulletin board to promote your services.

Social media may include:

  • International discussion lists (such as Grouptalk, the ASGPP list, Dramatherapy list, etc.)
  • Regional or state discussion lists or other lists specific to your needs.

Plus:

Facebook
Twitter
Instagram
Pinterest
Google +
LinkedIn
Pinterest
Snapchat

YouTube
Meetup
Tumblr

Alignable

Also:
  • Texting
  • Your blog (on your own site or another site, such as Medium) which allows commentary, likes and shares.
